Town of Farmington Connecticut-Geographic Information Systems Department (Summer of 2008)

• ArcView 3.1 and 3.3, as well as ArcGIS 9.1 and 9.2 projects.

• Linking Sewer Image Files to GIS Mapping on ArcGIS 9.2 by working with the town of

Farmington sewer system and making sure each of the pipes were linked into an actual blue print

of the site and construction plan.

• Mapping in the 9.2 version and helped with making maps for the fire department and police, also

worked with the tabular data.

• With ArcView 3.3 designed maps by doing a Town-Wide recreational Map Edit all throughout the

town of Farmington to make sure the map labeled all the parks, schools, and stadiums.

• Worked with different shapefiles and designing all the labels and signs. Worked with Riverfront

Access Concept Mapping which was a big project at the time. Making concept maps for the town

to develop the riverfront area throughout the town of Farmington. The plan was to build parks

throughout the riverfront and build a trail that follows the riverfront throughout the town for the

public to use for biking, running, and walking.

• AutoCad and AutoCad Map 3D. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Google Earth.

• Also throughout the river designed maps with parking lots and areas where the public can drop off

their canoes or kayaks. This was a very big project at the time which was approved by the town

and the state.

Livingston County Geographic Information Systems Office, Howell, MI (Summer of 2006)

• Viewed and helped out at the Livingston County Geographic Information Systems office in

Howell, Michigan. Job shadowing the employees on their specific tasks, giving me some ideas

and knowledge in real world fields.
